The first partnership between Needles and ASICS has resulted in the EX89 model. This design combines the style of the classic GEL-EXTREME basketball shoe from 1989 plus contemporary cushioning technology. Created by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s as his first assignment with ASICS, the upper displays an intricate leather construction with Needles' iconic purple colour blocking.
