Founded in 2017, 8ON8 is the brainchild of Li Gong, a First Class MA
graduate in Menswear Fashion from Central Saint Martins. The brand
represents Gong's interpretation of retro-futuristic aesthetics.
The unique ethos of 8ON8 draws inspiration from Gong's romantic
expression of the past, elegantly intertwining it with his vision of a future
cosmopolitan lifestyle.

The starting point of this design for GEL-KAYANO 14 is the combination of outdoor trail running and 80s’ city pop neon colors, which gives a
typical 8ON8 retro-futuristic aesthetic and a balance of functionality.
For the matertial and colour of the shoes, we chooese the breathable
microfiber material as the main body of the upper surface, combined
with the thickened textured TPU on the toe cap to enhance the outdoor
feeling of the K-14. As for the colour, high-saturated color covers the
entire shoe body, visually integrates various parts. We slightly highlight
all the structure parts of K14 with a 3D linear printing to reset and
outlining the shape of K14, which appearing the retro-night neon feeling.
